At mile 1 it was a attack fest! A cold 40 degree start with chilly winds made early attacks and surges hurt all the more! Hugh Selby was our best placed rider coming in 11th in the second small group of a shattered field of 40 P,1,2,3 riders. The direct cold headwind did serious damage and everyone was looking pretty tired afterwards. This was Hugh’s first test of the season, and showed that he will have some real firepower in the next few months. Great job team for hanging tough and finishing this early season sufferfest! Hopefully the next RR will be WARM!!
Next serious RR will be the Vuelta de Bisbee. We should have a few guys in the Masters race, and then a few guys going to Tour of the Gila a few days later.
